Workshops and father-son evenings
for Yeshivahs and schools
At Kish'rey Tefillin, we connect the boys to the commandments of tefillin and the holy objects that have accompanied the people of Israel since the dawn of its existence, through an experiential and enjoyable workshop, and fathers and sons evenings.
There are workshops suitable for a variety of ages, including around receiving the Torah, studying Tractate Minachot, Shavuot... and of course - our flagship activity, aimed at the Bar Mitzvah year - Fathers and Sons Evenings and workshops dealing with tefillin.
In the tefillin workshop, you see, hold, touch, and experiment, in an atmosphere full of curiosity and interest. In father-son evenings, you learn about tefillin together with the parents through shared study and fascinating and active conversation. It is possible to combine workshops for students and father-son evenings with the parents.
What are the different activities?
- A variety of table displays.
- A fascinating lecture accompanied by a presentation.
- See the test software.
- Holding and observing Tefillin sections at various levels (in Tefillin workshops)
- Holding and observing mezuzot (in the STaM workshop).
- Opportunity to experiment with writing with quill and ink on parchment.
- Possibility to experiment with increasing and decreasing the knot size of a head (four and square)
Questions we are usually asked:

Bar Mitzvah event with Kish'rey Tefillin
When we arrive at your Bar Mitzvah event, each guest is personally introduced to the tefillin.
You hold open tefillin houses, observe tefillin parshiot, experiment with writing (subject to the hall's consent), are exposed to the testing software, and more...
The Bar Mitzvah event includes a meeting with a Sofer Satam, an educator, and allows you to dive into the world of Satam in a fascinating and enjoyable way.
The activity is accompanied by a presentation.
* When combining the purchase of tefillin and a personal experience with a Bar Mitzvah event, the Bar Mitzvah boy participates in conducting the workshop. When the Bar Mitzvah boy conducts (jointly with the professional, who is also an educator) a workshop for guests out of knowledge and confidence, he is empowered, and connects to the tefillin in a deep connection. The workshop is also suitable for the first putting on of tefillin, for the Bar Mitzvah with friends, and for a Bar Mitzvah trip.
